











GCPUD
The Wanapum have lived along the Columbia River for thousands of years. In the 1950's, the GCPUD came to the Wanapum. They agreed on the building of two dams. The dams were built within Wanapum lands. A good relationship was made and has continued. The GCPUD Cultural Resources Department now maintains and protects Wanapum heritage.
